Retreats

"I will satisfy the weary, and all who are faint I will replenish."
Jeremiah 31:25 NRSV (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1996, c1989).

"But now more than ever the word about Jesus spread abroad; many crowds would gather to hear him and to be cured of their diseases.  But he would withdraw to deserted places and pray."
Luke 5:15 NRSV (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1996, c1989).
It is absolutely critical to take time out for reflection and refreshment. Although it can be difficult to stop, find the time, and arrange the necessary cover - the rewards of a retreat are invaluable.
The Bishops require all clergy to take a retreat every year and are exploring new ways to support this important practice.
